Lindy's Aircraft Tractor: Designed for Aircraft with or without wheel pants
»

The aircraft tractor is a battery powered airport tug manufactured to push and pull airplanes up to 4,000 lbs in a hanger, airport, or FBO. This airplane mover comes with an easy-on roller cradle that slides effortlessly under the nose wheel of an aircraft. Once the nose wheel of the aircraft is loaded in the cradle, the cradle has a 5th wheel style turning that allows the aircraft tug to turn a full 180 degrees underneath the wheel of the airplane without turning the wheel or steering mechanism of your aircraft. The lever handle and cable system on the aircraft tractor locks and releases the easy-on cradle when loading and unloading the airplane.

Lindy's Aircraft Tractor Operations »

Once the airplane mover has the nose wheel of the aircraft securely in the easy-on wheel cradle, one operator can safely and easily maneuver aircraft in tightly stacked hangers or staging on the airport ramp. This airport tug has a smooth acceleration and braking system resulting from an either hand variable speed twist grip handlebars with forward and reverse operations that eliminates the jerkiness found in gas powered aircraft tractor units. Plus, the quietness of the electric motor allows the operator to safely manipulate their airplane without the loud, aggravating, unsafe noise that goes with operating a combustion engine airplane mover. Our aircraft tractor works great in the harsh weather conditions, such as snow, sleet, or ice, as well as on gravel, dirt, or grass.
