The CartCaddy5WP equipment puller is primary designed to push, pull, or maneuver carts or equipment that require turning. The CartCaddy5WP equipment pusher and the CartCaddy5W equipment mover solve the same types of applications. The CartCaddy5WP tugger varies from the CartCaddy5W tugger in that it has added weight over the drive tires to provide increased traction for heavier loads. The most common application is the cart with 2 front swivel casters and 2 straight casters. The CartCaddy5WP cart puller attaches to the swivel castered end and provides the pushing and pulling power necessary for easy turning and intricate maneuvering. Customers' terminology for their specific cart may vary. They can be referred to as a cart, dollie, flatbed, trough, pan truck, tub, tank, cradle, lift table, window cart, glass rack, or wheeled machinery. These carts can carry a variety of items, from a full bin of washers to a flat bed of steel, to a trough full of cookie dough. Regardless of the parts or equipment on the cart being pulled or pushed, our motorized hauler or cart pusher has the power to push or pull almost any heavy cart.
Often employees operating without a CartCaddy5WP power puller are required manually to push and pull their cart. This heavy cart pushing task may require anywhere from 1-6 employees. The CartCaddy™ eliminates the possibility of a strain or pain from manually pushing these loads, while eliminating the amount of employees to accomplish the task, drastically increasing productivity. While some companies have been successful in utilizing equipment such as fork trucks, walkies, electric pallet jacks, or riding tugs to manage their cart pushing application, these solutions are often not ergonomically correct and are expensive, and result in awkward maneuvering in tight spaces.
Whatever the cart pushing or cart pulling application is, our electric powered pushers and electric powered puller has the power to push or pull almost any wheeled application. DJ Products, Inc. also offers customized solutions to virtually any material handling equipment pusher or equipment puller application. Please contact us to see how our products can solve your application needs.
Benefits
The CartCaddy5WP equipment mover is ergonomically designed to prevent the strains and pains often associated with manually pushing and pulling heavy carts and equipment. The use of the CartCaddy5WP minimizes the risk of injury, which in turn reduces the overall number of workman's compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA's recently released ergonomics standard proposal, work related musculoskeletal disorders, such as tendonitis and low back pain, account for $20 billion in workers compensation costs each year and 34% of all lost workday injuries.
The CartCaddy5WP equipment pusher is also beneficial in that it increases overall productivity. Heavy carts that had previously required multiple operators to maneuver can be now negotiated by a single employee. As a result, the operators eliminated from these tasks are available for alterative responsibilities.
Companies also receive an indirect benefit of improved employee moral by reducing the drudgery of physical labor for their employees. Improved employee moral decreases employee turnover and improves overall job performance.
The unit has a variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse directions from 0-3 mph. The ergonomically correct variable feature prevents carpal tunnel and allows the operator to maintain smooth control while intricately maneuvering a load. The CartCaddy5WP powered pusher's ability to move up to 3 mph prevents the often frustrating scenario of working with slowly moving equipment.
The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handle bar box immediately stops the machine when depressed to prevent any possible injury from operating the device. This feature is a must when buying any piece of equipment.
The electric lift option and customized attachment eliminate the need for fabricating multiple attachments for each cart or piece of equipment. The CartCaddy5WP's arm lowers and rises allowing it to attach firmly to the bottom of any cart. Weight is transferred from the cart to the front drive wheels of the CartCaddy5WP motorized cart puller for better traction when moving each load. The CartCaddy5WP battery powered equipment mover is designed for easy maneuvering and pivoting of your loads. After the arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the unit can pivot a full 180º under the arm. This feature allows your operator to turn the CartCaddy5WP equipment puller without jack knifing your cart.
