CarCaddy Power Movers

Applications for Power Movers

The CarCaddy™ Power Movers is a battery powered. electric vehicle pusher for pushing stalled vehicles that generally have pneumatic tires like a car, truck, camper, bus, and other machinery that doesn't need to be steered by the CarCaddy® battery powered power mover. Many manufacturers of the named items use CarCaddy® Power Mover to push the units short distances down a production line from station to station. Our Car Movers also have plenty of power to push stalled vehicles at service centers and along highways.

Benefits for Power Movers

The primary benefit of using the CarCaddy® Power Movers is to prevent the strains and pains associated with pushing stalled cars, buses, and heavy trucks. These strains and pains result from over extending the body when manually pushing cars from the parking lot into a service center garage, or pushing a stalled vehicle from the centerline of the highway to the shoulder. When CarCaddy® Power Movers is used for these routine tasks, pains and strains are minimized, which reduces workman's compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA's recently released ergonomics standard proposal, work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD's), such as tendonitis low back pain, account for $20 billion in workers compensation costs each year and 34% of all lost workday injuries.

The CarCaddy mover has plenty of power and also helps in preventing damages associated with moving these stalled vehicles with another vehicle. In cases where manpower is not available, other vehicles are used to bump up against the back end of the stalled vehicle. This causes dents, scratches, and cracks to both vehicles. The CarCaddy® Power Movers front push pad is made from soft, durable, padded material designed to preserve the paint and integrity of the back end of the stalled vehicle.

1 The Power Movers standard with a 36-volt system, 3 12-volt batteries, designed to give the operator 8-hours of continuous use, without moving a load, before recharging. Plenty of battery life to last an entire shift.

2The unit has a variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse directions from 0 to 3 mph. The ergonomically correct variable speed feature prevents carpal tunnel and allows the operator to maintain smooth control while intricately maneuvering his load. The Power Movers ability to go 3 mph allows the machine to keep up with the operator without frustration from waiting for a slowly operating machine when operating the unit from point A to B through-out your facility.

3The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handle bar box immediately stops the machine when depressed to prevent any possible injury from operating the device. This feature is a must when buying any piece of equipment.

4
The electric lift option and customized attachment prevent you from having to fabricate multiple attachments on everyone of your carts or equipment. The Power Movers arm lowers and raises for attaching firmly to the bottom of your cart. Weight is transferred from your cart to the front drive wheels of the CarCaddy for better traction when moving your load.

5The Power Movers design is for easy maneuvering and pivoting of your loads. After the arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the unit can pivot a full 180 degrees under the arm. This feature allows for turning your loads a full 90 degrees without jack knifing your cart or manually turning the front of you cart.
