TrailerCaddy
Applications

The TrailerCaddy® motorized trailer tug is designed for pushing or pulling trailers that require lifting on one end before maneuvering. Most common applications for this battery powered tug are the moving of campers, equipment trailers, and boats. These wheeled trailers usually are pulled with a vehicle down a highway. However, when these trailers are being manufactures or need to be pushed or pulled short distances in a show room or at a trade show, the TrailerCaddy® trailer pusher is the perfect solution for this push or pull application.

Benefits

The primary benefit of using the TrailerCaddy® trailer tug is to prevent the strains and pains associated with pushing and puling heavy boats, trailers, motor homes, or carts with tongues. These strains and pains result from overextending the body when manually lifting and moving these boat trailers from one location to another, such as a 5th wheel camper down an assembly line, or a boat through a convention center. When a TrailerCaddy® trailer puller is used for these unique tasks, pains and strains are minimized, which reduces workman's compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA's recently released ergonomics standard proposal, work-related muskuloskeletal disorders (WMSD's), such as tendonitis low back pain, account for $20 billion in workers compensation costs each year and 34% of all lost workday injuries.

Some companies use expensive fork trucks, walkies, and riding tugs to maneuver and position carts and equipment over a short distance. These companies experience a huge cost and space savings when implementing a TrailerCaddy® trailer mover to replace the more expensive piece of equipment. When compared to their traditional electric tug, walkie, or forklift, the TrailerCaddy® battery-powered trailer pusher is a half to one fifth the cost. Thus, the customer frees up the other piece of equipment for its intended purpose and purchases a TrailerCaddy® powered trailer mover for moving their heavy carts and equipment. Also, the TrailerCaddy® trailer tug is less bulky than the traditional product, which results in fewer accidents, lower maintenance costs, and minimal damage to surrounding parts and equipment due to the maneuverability and control the operator has using the TrailerCaddy® powered trailer puller in tightly confined areas.
