CartCaddy Cart Movers

Applications for Cart Movers

Our CartCaddyHD cart movers have been created to push, pull, and maneuver carts or equipment that require turning. Our CartCaddyHD cart movers have added weight over the drive tires to provide increased traction for heavier loads. The most common application is the cart with two front swivel casters and two straight casters. The CartCaddyHD movers attach to the swivel caster end and provide the pushing and pulling powernecessary for easy turning and intricate maneuvering. Customers' terms for their own specific carts may vary. They can be referred to as carts, dollies, flatbeds, troughs, pan trucks, tubs, tanks, cradles, lift tables, window carts, glass racks, or wheeled machinery. These carts can carry a variety of items, such as a bin full of washers, a flat bed of steel, or a trough full of cookie dough. Despite what kinds of parts or equipment are being pulled or pushed, our motorized cart mover has the power to push or pull them.

When they don't have the option to use a CartCaddyHD cart mover, employees are often required to manually push and pull carts. Heavy cart pushing tasks may demand up to six workers. These CartCaddy cart movers eliminate the possibility of strain or pain from manually moving these loads, while greatly reducing the quantity of employees needed to accomplish the task, drastically increasing productivity. While some companies are successful when utilizing equipment such as fork trucks, walkies, electric pallet jacks, or riding tugs to manage their cart pushing applications, these solutions are often expensive, are not ergonomically correct, and can result in awkward maneuvering in tight spaces.

DJ Products, Inc. offers customized solutions to virtually any material handling cart pushing or pulling application. Please contact us to see how our products can solve your application needs.

Benefits of Cart Movers

The CartCaddyHD cart movers are ergonomically designed to prevent the strains and pains often associated with manually pushing and pulling heavy carts and equipment. The use of CartCaddyHD movers minimizes the risk of injury, which in turn reduces the overall number of workman's compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA's recently released ergonomics standard proposal, work-related musculoskeletal disorders, such as tendinitis and low back pain, account for $20 billion in workers' compensation costs each year and 34% of all lost workday injuries.

The cart movers are also beneficial in that they increase overall productivity. Heavy carts which had previously required multiple operators to maneuver can now be negotiated by a single employee. As a result, the operators eliminated from these tasks are available for alternate responsibilities.

When reducing the drudgery of physical labor for their employees, companies also receive the indirect benefit of improved employee morale, which decreases employee turnover and improves overall job performance.

The CartCaddyHD cart mover has a variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse directions from 0-3 mph. The ergonomically correct variable speed feature prevents carpal tunnel and gives the operator smooth control while moving loads. The movers have the ability to move up to 3 mph, preventing the frustrating scenario of having to work with slow-moving equipment.

The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handle bar box stops the machine immediately when depressed, which prevents any possible injury from operating the device, a vital feature when buying any piece of equipment.

The electric lift option and customized attachment eliminate the need for fabricating multiple attachments for each cart or piece of equipment. The CartCaddyHD's arm lowers and rises allowing it to attach firmly to the bottom of any cart. Weight is transferred from the cart to the front drive wheels of the CartCaddyHD equipment tug for better traction when moving each load.

The CartCaddyHD cart mover's design is for easy maneuvering and pivoting of your loads. After the arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the unit can pivot a full 180 degrees under the arm. These features allow your operator to turn our cart movers without jackknifing your cart.

Features of the Cart Movers

Our cart movers come standard with a 36 -volt system, three 12-volt batteries, designed to give the operator 8-hours of continuous use, without moving a load, before recharging. Plenty of battery life to last an entire shift.

Our movers have a variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse directions from 0 to 3 mph. The ergonomically correct variable speed feature prevents carpal tunnel and allows the operator to maintain smooth control while intricately maneuvering their load. The CartCaddyHD's ability to go 3 mph allows the machine to keep up with the operator without frustration from waiting for a slowly operating machine when operating the unit from point A to B throughout your facility.

The safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handle bar box immediately stops the machine when depressed to prevent any possible injury from operating the device. This feature is a must when buying equipment movers.

The spring hitch option and customized attachment prevent you from having to fabricate multiple attachments on every one of your cart's or mover's equipment. The cart mover's arm lowers and raises for attaching firmly to the bottom of your cart. Weight is transferred from your cart to the front drive wheels of the cart movers for better traction when moving your load.

The CartCaddyHD movers are designed for easy maneuvering and pivoting of your loads. After the arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the unit can pivot a full 180 degrees under the arm. This feature allows for turning your loads a full 90 degrees without jackknifing your cart or manually turning the front of your cart.
