Applications for Electric Tractors

The RiderCaddy tow tractor is primarily designed to push carts, pull carts, maneuver carts or equipment that require turning. The RiderCaddy electric tractor is primarily designed to push carts, pull carts, or maneuver carts or equipment that require turning. The most common application is the cart with 2 front swivel casters and 2 straight caster. The RiderCaddy dollie pusher attaches to the swivel caster end and provides the pushing and pulling necessary for easy turning and intricate maneuvering. Customers' terminology for their specific cart may vary. They can be referred to as a cart, dollie, flatbed, trough, pan truck, tub, tank, cradle, lift table, window cart, glass rack, or wheeled machinery. These carts can carry a variety of items, from a bin full of washers, to a flat bed of steel, to a trough full of cookie dough. Regardless of the parts or equipment on the cart being pulled or pushed, our motorized cart pusher has the power to pull or pull almost any heavy cart.

Benefits of Electric Tractors

The primary benefit of using the RiderCaddy® tow tractor to prevent the strains and pains associated with pushing and puling heavy carts, equipment trailers, or racks. These strains and pains result from overextending the body when manually pushing or moving these carts from one location to another, such as a kiln cart in and out of an oven,, or a boat through a convention center. When a RiderCaddy® electric tractor is used for these unique tasks, pains and strains are minimized, which reduces workman's compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA's recently released ergonomics standard proposal, work-related muskuloskeletal disorders (WMSD's), such as tendonitis low back pain, account for $20 billion in workers compensation costs each year and 34% of all lost workday injuries.

Some companies use expensive fork trucks, walkies, and riding tugs to maneuver and position carts and equipment over a short distance. These companies experience a huge cost and space savings when implementing a RiderCaddy® tow tractor to replace the more expensive piece of equipment. When compared to their traditional electric tug, walkie, or forklift, the RiderCaddy® battery-powered cart pusher is a half to one fifth the cost. Thus, the customer frees up the other piece of equipment for its intended purpose and purchases a RiderCaddy® electric tractor for moving their heavy carts and equipment. Also, the RiderCaddy® cart mover is less bulky than the traditional product, which results in fewer accidents, lower maintenance costs, and minimal damage to surrounding parts and equipment due to the maneuverability and control the operator has using the RiderrCaddy® powered trailer puller in tightly confined areas.
