Applications for Equipment Pushers

The CartCaddy equipment pushers with rollers are designed to push carts and equipment that move in a straight line and are attached to a steering system. The CartCaddy equipment pushers provide directional force; the facility's steering system mechanism maintains the route of the cart. The CartCaddy truck movers have been extremely successful with assembly line applications, as well as applications that involve moving a cart in and out of an area, such as an oven or paint booth. The CartCaddy equipment pushers are also successful in applications involving products that are assembled with wheels on them, such as buses, motor homes, tractors, and carts.

These types of products often have large pneumatic tires are relatively easy to push. In general, the larger the wheel, the less rolling resistance and the easier the product is to push. Applications that are exceptions to what the CartCaddy equipment pushers are usually used for are the wagon wheel carts or farm carts. These carts have a tongue on the front that when turned, turns the front axles (known as the wagon wheel) or turns the front two wheels independently (known as the farm cart). These applications can easily be solved using the CartCaddy battery powered pushers with a pin, ball hitch, or pintle hitch.

Benefits for Equipment Pushers

Ergonomically designed to prevent strains and pains, the CartCaddy powered equipment pushers ensure that workers don't have to manually push and pull heavy carts and equipment. The minimal risk of injury reduces the overall number of workers' compensation and insurance claims. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders, such as tendinitis and lower back pain, account for $20 billion in workers' compensation costs each year and over one-third of all lost workday injuries, according to OSHA.

Fork trucks, riding tugs, and walkies are often utilized to maneuver carts and equipment short distances. These methods typically require more storage space than our equipment pushers, as well as being more expensive. Additionally, the CartCaddy powered pushers are less bulky than the traditional equipment used, which results in fewer accidents and lower maintenance costs. The easy maneuverability of the units reduces damage to surrounding parts and equipment.
