Our CartCaddyLite tugs are battery powered electric tugs designed with enough power to push or pull carts that can typically be pushed or pulled by one person. The electric power tugs are for applications involving a wide variety of cart types, such as dollies, hand trucks, linen carts, hospital carts, maintenance carts, and hospital beds. The carts' ability to maneuver easily in extremely tight places secures our tug as the smallest, most maneuverable powered carts available on the market, and they have plenty of power to handle most push or pull applications.
Some of the CartCaddyLite's tugs more common applications include hospital carts, laundry carts, maintenance carts, and parts cart. These carts are typically less than 1500 lbs. and are pushed, pulled, and maneuvered manually. Due to the nature of the carts' uses, they are often maneuvered by elderly employees. Use of our battery powered electric tugs to transform these into motorized carts can reduce the risk of injury to these valuable employees.
Benefits for Tugs
Our tug is ergonomically designed to prevent the strains and pains often associated with manually pushing and pulling heavy carts and equipment. The use of our tugs minimizes the risk of injury, which in turn reduces the overall number of workers' compensation and insurance claims. According to OSHA, work-related musculoskeletal disorders account for $20 billion in workers' compensation costs each year and about 34% of all lost workday injuries.

The CartCaddyLite electric tugs have plenty of battery life to last a full shift. The tugs come standard with a 24-volt system and two 12-volt batteries, designed to give the operator six hours of continuous use, without moving a load, before recharging.
The tug's variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse directions from 0 to 3 mph. The ergonomically correct tug's variable speed feature prevents workers from getting carpal tunnel syndrome and allows the operator to maintain smooth control when using the electric cart.
A safety stop switch positioned at the back of the handle bar box immediately stops the machine when depressed, which protects the worker from any possible injury while operating the device. This feature is a must when buying powered carts.
The tug's customized attachment and spring hitch option prevent your business from having to create separate attachments for every one of your carts that need to be pushed or pulled. The CartCaddyLite's arm lowers and rises, attaching snugly to the bottom of the cart. Weight is transferred from your cart to the front drive wheels of the CartCaddyLite for better traction when moving your load.
Our tugs are manufactured for easy maneuvering and pivoting of loads. After the tug's arm is attached firmly to your carts or equipment, the tugs can pivot a full 180 degrees under the arm. This feature allows your loads to be turned a full 90 degrees without the danger of jackknifing your cart.
